During my time at Ball State Teachers College, I had the opportunity to lead the development of innovative dual credit partnerships to expand access to educator preparation pathways for high school students. The Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program was developed through collaboration with Ball State, Ivy Tech Community College, and the Region 5 Workforce Board. Eight high schools across Indiana initially participated, and two additional school corporations added a R-TAP program during my time at Ball State. The photo below showcases R-TAP being recognized at the Indiana CTE Awards for Excellence in 2024.
Apprenticeships are complicated and involve multiple partnerships across workforce and education. To help partners communicate and share information, I developed a partnership hub for Cardinal Pathways to Teaching in the summer of 2024.
